Global Radio

Add a radio station

If you run a station — or just listen to one that is missing — send us the stream address and we will check it. Global Radio carries 11,358 stations across 172 countries, and the list comes mostly from one public database that is thin in a lot of the world.

Write in whatever language you like. This page is in English because it makes promises we want to be precise about, not because we need your submission to be. A station name, a stream address and a country are enough.

The station

The audio address itself, not the page it plays on. It has to be https, and not an .m3u8 playlist — see below for why.

Only so we can reply about this station. Optional.

What we check, and what we cannot

When you press Send we open the stream address once, from a Cloudflare server, and tell you what came back. Two things will get a submission turned away on the spot, and both are facts about the address rather than about your station:

Anything else is accepted and queued, including a stream we could not reach. Our check runs from one datacenter, and a broadcaster who serves only their own country — or is simply restarting — looks identical from here to one that is off the air. We are not willing to tell you your station is down on that evidence, so we will not.

What happens to what you send

If the form gives you trouble, plain email works just as well and reaches the same person: contact@globalradio.app.
